Cudworth Yard Maintenance / Truck Driver

Join our team as a yard maintenance worker and truck driver, keeping out operations running smoothing with hands-on work and product delivery.

Start Date

This position is full time with the employee starting work immediately.

Key Roles & Responsibilities  

Location Operations  

• Assist in the maintenance of the fertilizer equipment 
• Assist in the maintenance of augers including regular greasing and oil changes as needed 
• Assist in coordinating and executing product movement 
• Assist in loading and unloading of product for customers or from suppliers 
• Assist operations staff with various tasks, especially in busy season and especially when a customer needs to be served 
• Maintain NH3 equipment 
• Assist in maintaining rental equipment that stays at the location 
• Be prepared to fill in in the instance of operational shortfalls 

Yard Maintenance 

• Summer yard duties ensuring that yard is clean and well clipped  
• Ensure the driveways are level and rut free year round 
• Winter yard duties ensuring the snow is cleared from drives and walkways 
• Ensure customers are greeted in a friendly, respectful manner and have an enjoyable experience at our business 

 Truck Driver

•  Transport chemical to Horizon yards and to customers 
• Ensure all checklists are followed and completed 
• Ensure vehicles are maintained as per the schedule 
• Ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use on a daily basis 
• Maintain a log of problems and/or issues that require fixing 
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area 
• Ensure customers are greeted in a friendly, respectful manner 
• Always be respectful of a customers’ property 
• Ensure procedures are followed to minimize or prevent inventory losses 
• Be familiar with and follow all safety procedures and protocols 

If the applicant has their 1A or is able to obtain it:

• Transport fertilizer by semi or super B’s to Horizon yards and to customers
• Ensure the truck is serviced and maintained with help from the shop technicians as required

Qualifications:

A valid class 5 driver’s license that is in good standing is a requirement.  It is an asset, but not required for applicants to have the 1A license.  

Location:

Our office is situated just south of Cudworth, Saskatchewan, along HWY 2. Applicants are not obligated to reside in Cudworth, but they should be within a reasonable driving distance, as their work will be based in the site and the local area.
